NAPA - One of the sadder losses of the year had to be the shutter of the Martini House. And although the future of the St. Helena space remains unclear, Inside Scoop leaks news today that chef Todd Humphries and Richard Miyashiro will take over the rather large, 4,000-square-foot-space in Oxbow Public Market formerly occupied by the Oxbow Wine and Cheese Merchant. The name and concept haven't been released yet, but with all the foot traffic Oxbow provides, and the gargantuan outdoor seating area, the prospect of a Humpries restaurant here is an exciting one. MISSION - The beloved Hapa Ramen pop-up at Bar Tartine is back again tonight. SFoodie has the scoop on the menu. Cool thing about this is you can call to make a reservation (no waits!) and you can eat indoors. [SFoodie]

MISSION EXTRA - GrubStreet found out that the future pizzeria from the Farina clan is delayed until Spring 2011. We weren't holding our breath, so that's fine. [GrubStreet]

JACQUES PEPIN - The chef, cookbook author and TV personality who has been an inspiration to so many, Jacques Pépin turned 75 on Friday; and he's certainly not ready to call it quits. The man has a new series called Essential Pépin coming out in the New Year in which he does all sorts of things, like sing and play music with a whisk. Hop to BayAreaBites for some titillating documentation of Pépin's musical prowess. [KQED]
