1) Berkeley: Quick-service healthy eatery Amanda's will close its doors on Shuttuck Avenue on December 31st. According to the blast they sent out, they were not able to come to a workable lease arrangement with their landlords. Amanda's owners say they are investigating other avenues to keep the business alive in the future. [EaterWire]
2) Marina: GrubStreet notes the Gravity Room on Scott Street will close in the New Year and Tortilla Heights owner Paul Owens is moving in. He's opening something there called Gypsy Tea Room, which will serve booze, and that's about all we got. [GrubStreet]
