New Chef at Chez Papa, Sonoma Restaurant Week, More!

POTRERO HILL—The 18th Street location of Chez Papa has a new chef by the name of Rodolfo Castellanos Reyes. His last kitchen stop was as chef de cuisine at La Mar; before that, he worked at Left Bank and Jardiniere. [EaterWire[

WINE COUNTRY—The first stats are rolling in from the year's grape harvest, and according to CBS, it's the second largest grape harvest in California history. The high volume (over four million tons) means good news for less expensive wines (especially Central Coasters), but bad news for the high-end wineries of Napa and Sonoma, which are already hurting.
