Roland's Bagels Shuttered Following Landlord Dispute

New, 5 comments

While a Hayes Valley spinoff grows on the corner of Gough and Hayes, the original location of cult favorite Roland's Bagels has been suddenly shut down. The surprising turn of events stems from an ongoing dispute between Philip Roland and the landlord, with sources speculating that there's a disagreement relating to unfixed roof damages and unpaid rent, and this morning, Roland's got shut down. As of today, it's unknown if the two parties can reconcile and reopen (they should know in the next week or so), but for now, Roland's Bagels will stay dark.
