The NYT turns its eye towards an escalating feud between Ike's Place (or rather, its lines) and the sandwich shop's neighbors. To appease the neighbors, Ike's even cut hours—this month, it started closing at 7PM. But in the NIMBYs' defense, the scene is getting pretty insane: "On one recent Saturday afternoon, the crowd was so big that the sidewalk was impassable. Without tables or seating, customers commandeer neighbors’ stoops and doorways. Masking tape on the sidewalk marks a feeble effort to prevent diners from blocking homes’ entrances." [NYT]
