A Snapshot of Weekend Brunch at Foreign Cinema

New, 5 comments

Welcome back to Eater Scenes, our photo series wherein photographer Jennifer Yin visits some of the city's storied restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, time. Today: weekend brunch at Foreign Cinema.

Here we have a 12:30PM snapshot of the brunch service at Foreign Cinema. Run by the husband-and-wife team Gayle Pirie and John Clark, Foreign Cinema has been a Mission favorite—a neighborhood dining landmark, even (you know, assuming such a thing exists)—for over a decade now. The Zuni vets have taken their sensibilities to the weekend days too, with their well-established brunch among the city's most popular, from hipsters to families to special occasion-seekers. Enjoy.
