Providing yet another reason to not go clubbing on Fisherman's Wharf, Suede was the scene of a tragic shooting over the weekend. Though details are scarce, the scary incident took place around 1:40AM Saturday night and saw a gunman open fire into a crowd, leaving a 19-year-old man from Richmond dead at the scene. Four additional people—including a 20-year-old suspected gunman from Richmond who was shot by a patrol special police officer and later arrested—also inflicted serious injuries, some of which were believed to be life-threatening.
And as SFist points out, there's no word on what exactly caused the gunfight, though there are reports of an altercation inside the club, but it would appear that it was Richmond-related. A sad situation all around. More coverage at SF Appeal.
