From Noe Valley SF comes a tip that Andrew Johnstone owner/chef of Little Chihuahua on Divisadero has been talking up a new location in the old Bistro 24 space on 24th Street in Noe Valley.
Confirmation from Johnstone himself points to a May opening after some remodeling and he hints that Noe-ians can expect the same concept and menu that has made them a hit in between the Lower Haight and Panhandle neighborhoods. That means freshly prepared Mexican-style signature items like plantain burritos and salmon tacos, cheap beer, and Sunday brunch with Mexican French Toast and Passionfruit Mimosas with cafe-style table service. Assuming the concept also extends to the water bowl they keep out front, they're sure to draw in the Noe Valley dog-walking crowd. [NVSF]
