SOMA -- Sightglass, the coffee kiosk-inside-a-warehouse that has been teasing joe fiends with an unfinished interior since summer of last year, is somewhere between four weeks and “a couple of months” from completion, reports SF Weekly's Jonathan Kauffman. When the final design is unveiled, the coffee roastery and café will offer 10 to 15 choices at any given time, all roasted on-site. And for the continual delay of your gratification, brother owners Jared and Justin Morrison plan to install a ‘slow bar’ equipped with one of those nifty hourglass-shaped Chemex pour-over systems that takes four to five minutes to brew each cup. SOMA EXTRA -- Bruce Hill, Master chef and restauranteur behind Jackson Square's Bix and Larkspur’s Picco, will be opening another pizzeria in the former Azie space. In addition to wood-fired pizzas, Hill will be offering a full Italian menu of savory fare, Straus Dairy soft serve with artisanal toppings, hand-crafted cocktails, wine on tap, and an interior designed by Michael Brennan, the favorite architect behind Baker and Banker, Café Kadi, and countless other restaurants in San Francisco and wine country. Wonder where this guy will land in the impending Neapolitan pizza fray? [Eaterwire]

TENDERLOIN
-- Upscale vegan restaurant, Millenium, will be offering a five-course winemaker dinner featuring unfiltered and vegan wines from Berkeley urban winery, A Donkey and a Goat, this Wednesday, March 31, for $75 per person. In case you non-vegans didn’t know, many wines do actually use animal-derived products to assist in processing. [Eaterwire]

MISSION -- Medjool, the Mission St. restaurant that eeked its way out of a February hearing regarding the legality of its bar, is now pursuing its conditional lease permit. As they await the document – which should come in May – they’ve announced a new lunch service, available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. But what will the Buddhists next door think? [Eaterwire]
