In the wake of the alarming robbery at gunpoint that occurred exactly one week ago at Potrero Hill's Chez Maman, news that Chaya was robbed last night by a group of up to seven suspects comes at an even greater shock. The robbers descended on the restaurant at around 1 a.m. this morning, well after dinner service. Police have not yet reported if the suspects were armed or if anyone was injured. According to the hostess on duty today, no one was hurt and one manager was a bit roughed up: "Everything has returned to normal today, and it doesn't look like a crime scene." [Eaterwire]
