A phalanx of Philadelphia policemen raided three popular bars last weekend and confiscated several kegs and 300 bottles of premium beer from various American breweries. Unlike a recent situation in New York regarding illegally distributed beer, the beer in question was legally purchased. However, the Philly cops initiated the bust on allegations that the distributors and brewers who sold them the booze never paid the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's $75 registration per each imported product. The confiscated stash will be kept as evidence, and the illicit hooch will sadly be destroyed. Right. [Eater National]
