NOPA-- Via a revealing tweet from Lady T-Hop, we learn Sharon Ardiana of Gialina is opening a second pizzeria called Ragazza in the Metro Kathmandu space on Divisadero. Beyonce won't be far behind. [@tablehopper]
THE MISSION - Nopa sous chef, Richie Nakano and bartender, Kitty Gallisa, have a handmade, organic ramen business, Hapa Ramen, in the works. On May 8th from 6-9 p.m., they're doing a little preview at Potrero Hill's Coffee Bar by setting up a "walk in/no reservation restaurant." If all goes well, mid-June may see them open a Ferry Building stand on Thursdays. Follow them on twitter for other updates. [EaterWire]
POTRERO HILL - As suggestions come in over the tipline for Pinkie's/Bento 415's new home, we learn from GrubStreet that John Campbell's Irish Bakery will be moving into the space at 300 De Haro. With this and the newly opened Fillmore location, it looks like the Irish baker is on his way to a veritable Irish fiefdom in SF. [GrubStreet]
NOB HILL - Masa's Chef Gregory Short will be traveling to New York next week to cook at the James Beard House on April 20th. Only a handful of SF-based chefs have made this cross-country trip. And we tell you this because Short is recreating said 5-course Beard dinner and wine pairings here in SF on April 30th. That'll be $165/person, including wine pairings a la Master Sommelier Alan Murray, should you choose to participate. Call 415-989-7154. website [EaterWire]
BERKELEY -- A Craigslist ad tipped us off that Berkeley's Revival Bar + Kitchen will indeed be opening in May and they are currently hiring everything. Chef/Director Amy Murray confirms they're getting that close. [EaterWire]
