Here we have the almost-finished interior of Alex Jackson's Parada 22, officially opening tomorrow in the Upper Haight, right between Murio's Trophy Room and Cha Cha Cha. On Wednesday, Jackson got together with the folks at the latter to work up some special boozy concoctions, including a new take on Cha Cha Cha's popular sangria. Jackson, who worked at Goldman Sachs in New York before pulling a 180 to work the line at Gramercy Tavern, is excited to bring SF its first Puerto Rican menu because it's a cuisine he was more accustomed to eating (and loving) on the East Coast. Note he's particularly jazzed about the pechuga encebollada and roasted pork leg in sofrito. All items, save for the whole fried fish special not listed on the written menu, will be served in to-go-style containers in "huge portions" at "insanely cheap" prices.
