POTRERO HILL - The signage is up at the bright lime (chartreuse? tea green?) facade of organic Mexican taqueria Papito, and you'll agree -- save for the papered windows -- the spot looks poised for action. Jocelyn Bulow, of the Maktub Group that owns both Chez Papa restaurants and Chez Maman, tells us they'll be opening on May 10. As always, check back with us to see if the prediction is accurate. The tiny interior, all yellow and orange walls, exposed kitchen, and copper bar, is cute and complete. Former La Mar chef, Rodolfo Castellanos, who is from Oaxaca, will be creating the authentic menu with a nod to his homeland. No liquor license means more of those agave wine margs we've grown used to, but there will be Mexican brunch on weekends and outdoor seating to make up for that. [EaterWire]

SOMA - Inside Scoop reports Prospect, the newcomer from the team at Boulevard, should open in late June on the ground floor of the Infinity at 300 Spear St. Ravi Kapur, who has served as chef de cuisine at Boulevard for the past eight years will be creating the "casual, contemporary" menu. The remaining cast of characters is looking fairly strong as well, with Amy Currens, formerly of Luce, as wine director; and Brooke Arthur, who was instrumental in creating the bar menu at Range, as bar manager. THE SUNSET - Lady T-Hop tipped us off yesterday that a new restaurant from the family behind Fresca restaurants in Pac Heights, Noe Valley, and West Portal will be opening a fourth restaurant right around the corner from the almost-open Social Kitchen and Brewery (By the way, not a peep from the ABC on that one for now.) The new spot will be called Pasión, serving modern Latin cuisine. They are currently building out the space and hoping to open in July, with an upstairs deck patio coming some time after opening. OAKLAND -After dealing with an insane potential landlord in uptown Oakland, Allison Arevalo, the Brooklyn blogger who moved to Berkeley and decided to start a mac n' cheese restaurant called Little Mac, has found a location for the biz: 400 40th Street in Oakland. And she bakes a key lime pie to celebrate. [Local Lemons]
