Anniversary Celebrations at Fior d'Italia and Palio d'Asti

New, 4 comments

Always the bearer of ridiculous deals for the truly desperate, Broke-Ass Stuart reveals tomorrow North Beach's Fior d’Italia, "America's oldest Italian Restaurant," is celebrating its 125th anniversary by reverting back to its original menu prices. That means Veal Saute for $.05, Roast Sirloin for $.30, and "Linguine with Meatball" for $.10 (that's ball, singular). In a similarly odd stunt, FiDi's Palio D’Asti is celebrating its 20th anniversary by offering things like an "Iron Chef Style Mixology Event" in its anniversary contest from May 1-July 28. If you don't win, there's a consolation prize for everyone at dinner all year long: your first martini or Manhattan is $1 with purchase of three or more courses.
