Three San Francisco Chronicle Writers Honored by AFJ

The Association of Food Journalists announced the winners of its annual awards competition, which recognizes "excellence in reporting and writing in all media, newspaper food section design and content, food illustration and food photography." Two San Francisco Chronicle writers are winners in the Best Newspaper Food Feature Over 200,001 Circulation category: Georgeanne Brennan for "A Chicken in Every Pot," and Janny Hu, for "A Slam-Dunk Thanksgiving." In the category of Best Newspaper Restaurant Criticism, Michael Bauer was named. The awards are a bit strange in that the winners' placement (first, second or third) will be announced at AFJ’s annual conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010. The full list of national winners is available over at Eater National. [EN]
