The draft environmental impact report (EIR) for the new Fairmont Tower hit the web last week, complete with the rather undramatic transformation you can view in its entirety over at Curbed SF, and now it looks like you can all put your "Save the Tonga" picket posters under the bed for a while because "it's been identified as a 'historical resource,'" meaning it will either be completely 'dismantled, relocated, and reinstalled' within the new [Fairmont] podium structure, or...only be partially dismantled and relocated." No word as to the relocation's effect on simulated rainstorms at happy hour. [Curbed SF]
