Picture%201.pngFor his Sunday reflection, Renaissance Bauer places Credo, a FiDi Italian that opened in January, on the chopping block. Owned by political consultant and real estate investor, Clint Reilly, the restaurant puts forth hundreds of thought-provoking quotes on its walls in an effort to promote discussion, but the romantic ploy doesn't distract from food that is tirelessly lackluster: "Chef Mario Maggi, who says he's opened more than 30 restaurants...would seem to have the chops to run a restaurant. However, his staff doesn't seem to know how to fry them." Despite an attractive setting and FOH servers that know what they're doing, a string of four sub-par meals overshadows everything. Credo is left with a measly 1.5 stars.
