Eddie Huang Rallies For SF Food Truck Throwdown

A little over a week ago, angries were swirling around the new Chairman Bao food truck with its Fairey-esque design and BaoHaus-esque buns. Well now BaoHaus owner Eddie Huang has been busy penning a blog post on corporate food trucks over the weekend, and Eater National outlines his designs on an SF food truck throwdown:

I'm actually meeting with my people right now about organizing a throwdown with that bootleg Chairman Bao truck. We're coordinating with truck owners to see if we can get a truck one weekend in SF. Whether or not they want to throwdown, we're trying to get out there and cook so people can taste the original.

Apparently he's not going to reach out to Chairman Bao about the face-off, although now the cat appears to be out of the bag. And who's to say if Huang will even be able to land a pop-up truck in SF; it could be impossible considering all the red tape we've got around here.
