MISSION - Things are moving forward at the future site of Farina pizza spinoff Antica Pizzeria Napoletana. And isn't it funny how the catch phrases they're using like "pizzaiolo from Naples," "wood-fired oven" and "authentic Neopolitan crust," are almost yawn-inspiring at this point. Anyway, the Eater Investigative Squad learned today that they are hoping to open by the end of August. They're currently installing sliding, fixed glass windows and an outdoor seating area, much like the original Farina location. But this spot will receive a lot more foot traffic at its 18th and Valencia post, and is bound to invite walk-in diners and other forms of casual-ness. [EaterWire]

SOMA - Dave Mur's renegade fondue concept, Fondue Cowboy, is undergoing its final health inspection today and it getting very close to opening. More soon. [EaterWire]

SOMA EXTRA - 25 Lusk, the much-anticipated 9,800-square-foot, high end restaurant concept from managing partner, Chad Bourdon, and chef partner, Matthew Dolan, has announced they'll open in September. Dolan, whose menu is still in the works, has cheffed in New Orleans, Europe, New York and here at Garibaldi's; so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with. Cass Calder Smith will be remodeling the expansive interior of the historic building. According to the press release there will be some riveting "steel fire orb flues" that pass from the main dining area to the lounge below, creating a focal point. [EaterWire]

MISSION EXTRA - We've learned from Lady T-Hop that Ichi sushi has found a new permanent home at the Yo's Sushi Club on Mission and 30th. By late summer of fall, the new incarnation should be open, serving sushi and hot plates. [Tablehopper]

MARINA - And from Signore Lucchesi comes word that LA's popular SusieCakes bakery is planning to open in the shuttered Miette space on Chestnut on June 26. And, joy of joys, there will be a mobile SusieCakes Cruiser doling out cake slices on the streets. Whoopie pie. [ISSF]

PRE-PLYWOOD - The Kauff dug a scoop out of Parada 22 and Corner owner, Alex Jackson, in a recent interview: "...[Jackson] is so pleased with the success of the Upper Haight restaurant[, Parada,] that he's already planning a second branch in the Mission, as he says, 'before the year is over.'"
