Pre-opening, tipster-generated Spice Kit photo gallery.
The Web site for Spice Kit, SoMa's coming-soon "gourmet báhn mì and ssäm station" from "Asian guys who are French trained," went up over the weekend. Do give it a look, as there are some nice visual renderings of the menu items. Signore Lucchesi first reported on the concept, from owners Will Pacio and Fred Tang, two weeks back. According to the Twitter, they're in the home stretch of putting tile on the floors. And Facebook is telling us the joint will be opening on June 28th. Things to consider here include possible prime outdoor seating on Howard Street and hopefully above-average versions of Asian street food accoutrement like pâté and kimchi, considering the owners' training at the Ritz and French Laundry.
