Branches Wood Fired Chop House, Now Growing in Ukiah

New, 1 comment

Lordy. It looks like Mendocino County will be gifted with a 10,500-square-foot epicurean mecca of sorts, being built from the ground up RIGHT NOW off the 101 in Ukiah. Here we have some early construction shots of Branches Wood Fired Chop House, set to include a restaurant, Irish-style pub and sports bar, a traditional butcher shop, a bakery (where visitors will be able to watch the magic happen) and, of course, a retail area. Things like wood-fired pizzas and meats, an on-site garden, an open kitchen and handmade ice cream should endear the place to food-conscious folk all over the Bay Area. Branches is owned by executive chef Munther Massarweh -- of Novato's 10-year-old Wildfox and San Francisco's late Tin Pan Asian Bistro -- and his long-term business partner and executive pastry chef Debbie Coenen. This mammoth project should be ready to go by the end of summer. [EaterWire]
