TAMALE WIRE - 7x7 food editor Sara Deseran wrote a little something on Latin restaurants along Sonoma Highway for the Tacolicious blog. She mentions Tortilleria Jalisco, Rancho Viejo and La Michoacana; but the most interesting shout out may be for El Molino, a newbie from Karen Taylor who owns the Primavera tamales gourmands have been known to rave about. Do glimpse the full rundown if you have a penchant for Mexican fare. [Tacolicious]

SCOOPAGE - Tomorrow all nine of Kimpton's San Francisco hotels will be serving homemade ice cream in their lobbies from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for $2 to benefit Dress for Success; and we've received word that the Sir Francis Drake will be serving strawberry basil. More info here. [EaterWire]

DIRTY DISHES - Dirty Dishes will be bringing the street carts and DJs back to the Lookout next Thursday. This time around, Seoul on Wheels, Toasty Melts and Cookie Wag ice cream sandwiches will be featured and DJ Special K will join B-Haul and Gordon Gartrell. Entrance is $3 and you can RSVP here.
