Over the weekend Opposable Thumbed Bauer had this review of Another Monkey, the Thai restaurant Koh Samui and the Monkey owner Aom Phanthong opened eight weeks ago in the shuttered Conduit space. Though Bauer is impressed by her adherence to indigenous spice metrics (i.e. grilled beef salad that's "the food equivalent of S&M"), the sheer quantity of things on the menu appears to set things up for mistakes: "It's impossible for even the most talented chefs to produce that many dishes and maintain quality." Still things end on a high note: "If she stays the course and pares down the menu, I think many will warm to her efforts," and Another Monkey eeks out 2.5. [Chron]
