Spire Starts Lunch Service Today

New, 3 comments

Spire Restaurant & Bar soft opens today (July 7). Executive chef Laird Boles comes to the project from Waterbar, where he was sous chef, and has a background in the fine dining scene of Orlando. The "affordable to moderate" casual eatery seats 92, with a raw bar and an upstairs lounge with a separate entrance. It is beginning with lunch service only (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.); dinner service and Giants game day bar menus will follow.

Take a gander at the opening lunch menu for an idea of how the restaurant defines "contemporary American food, influenced by the gathering of different cultures and backgrounds located here in the Bay Area." Items are priced from $6-13 and includes fare such as house-made fennel sausage, Niman Ranch burger, salad of marinated local sardines, shaved roasted leg of lamb on house-made naan, and shrimp with creamy lemon grits.
