Champagne%20Chinese.jpgFor today's Examiner review, Patty Untz Untz goes to an upscale seafood banquet at Champagne in San Mateo with Al Cheng and The Eleven Insatiables...who have no connection to emo. She finds the new remodel of the old Joy Luck space to have a "relaxing, nonfrenetic demeanor" and the service lives up to the restaurant's "high class" name. Except for a past-its-prime geoduck clam, almost everything she eats is a hit, earning the tried-and-tested Untz seal of approval: "Civilized Champagne is a business-class ticket to the south Chinese world of food."
