Mikey Three Sips tries the 8-course menu at Saison in the Mission for this Sunday's review, and calls Joshua Skenes' recently remodeled restaurant in a converted barn one of several Bay Area hot spots that are redefining fine dining. "Tablecloths and waiter uniforms are so 20th century," after all. "The flavors are like a fine tapestry, intricately conceived and woven. Presentations are precise and beautiful but not forced." Despite mention that Skenes' "food and restaurant is just coming into focus...He's certainly a chef to watch." So it's a three star blockbuster all around. [Chron]
