Week in Reviews

Comstock%20Saloon.pngFor this Sunday's review, the Bauership docks at North Beach's Comstock Saloon, the new bar with food from Absinthe vets Jonny Raglin and Jeff Hollinger. Things get off to a bit of a rocky start due to "an ever-rising noise level that makes a revving motorcycle seem like white noise." Then "cocktails - some of the best in the city" appear to save the day along with a menu of "rib-sticking classics" from chef Carlo Espinas. A hint at service snags takes things down a notch: "At times there can be longer than normal pauses between courses, but overall it's convivial and fun and the drinks are delivered without fuss." And in the end, it's a 2 star trip. [Chron]
