SOMA - Prospect will reopen for dinner service this Saturday. Exhale. Also mark your calendars as they'll start serving brunch on October 3rd. [EaterWire]
MISSION - Hog & Rocks leads into its new brunch menu with a mean list of cocktails: a bloody Mary flight ($10), hurricane ($9/$27), bellini ($8/$25) and more. The second, higher number indicates pitcher prices; so that should get the day going, right? Food options span toad in the hole to a Denver omelette to sticky buns and buckwheat beer pancakes. If you find yourself hungover this Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., you know what to do. [EaterWire]
MISSION EXTRA - Charanga is throwing a 13th anniversary bash on Monday night with DJs, $13 sangria pitchers and 13 special tapas items from Chef Gaby Salas' menu over the years. Admission is $13 and this will last from 6 to 11 p.m. [EaterWire]
PLYWOOD UPDATE - Hold your horses Desi Danganan enthusiasts! The opening of The Summit has been pushed to September 20th. [EaterWire]
INNER RICHMOND - This Saturday there's a poke festival and spam musubi eating contest at Hukilau. Prizes mostly include cash, Hukilau gift certificates and Live at Hukilau CDs. [EaterWire]
MARIN - Meanwhile in Corte Madera, Pacific Catch is in the midst of a somewhat major-sounding facelift. One part of the patio is currently closed off as they work on adding sky lights, roll-down windows and a fire pit to make it completely impervious to the elements. Concurrently, they are building out a free-standing island bar to be revealed near the entrance. A grand reopening in October will formalize all this newness and an expanded menu, to boot. The restaurant will remain open for business throughout the renovation period. [EaterWire]
