After eviction, a shutter fake and resurrection late last month, Ike's Place will shutter for real tonight at midnight. This morning we spoke with owner Ike Shehadeh, who plans to have a party on site today in the Castro during his last day in business. He says, if anything, the recent eviction has created more opportunity for him and that he will be just fine. "San Francisco should be sad it lost 47 jobs, but I've been approached by hundreds of people with offers for new locations," says Shehadeh. His best offers, however, have not been in San Francisco, but he will continue to entertain options everywhere. Ike's Place outposts in Redwood Shores, Palo Alto and Stanford are humming along and plans for new locations in Burlingame and Santa Rosa are moving forward.
