After a little hiccup at last week's Board of Supervisors meeting, the Supes approved the proposed liquor fee at yesterday's reading. Remember this is the one that would tax liquor wholesalers, resulting in slightly more expensive hooch for all of us innocent drinkers. Michael Bauer sounded off on the fee yesterday, basically venting his frustrations about the BOS and, based on all the comments this generated, it's a polarizing issue. But now the proposal will go to Mayor Newsom's desk for final approval and, as several outlets have pointed out, he's not going to let it fly anyway.
