BERKELEY - Jennifer Millar can't catch a break with the opening of Addie's Pizza Pie in the old Spud’s Pizza location in South Berkeley. It's been delayed several months, but the tweetage reveals they may have a pre-opening party as soon as next Sunday the 12th, which means the opening isn't far off. Now a quick recap: this is the New-York style pizzeria Millar's been working on with Thomas Schnetz of Doña Tomas, planning to serve pizza, salad, beer and wine. And there's special excitement about the Lake Superior-style frozen custard they're bringing to the Bay Area. Chef Deidre Conroy who has worked at Greens, Stars and Paula Le Duc Catering will create new, seasonal flavors often. And we've got this preliminary menu PDF to tease you further. [EaterWire]

ANGRIES - Another chapter unfolds in the whole Bao-troversy today as Eddie Huang -- who threatened SF food truck Chairman Bao months ago for using the name of his best-selling BaoHaus menu item -- went ahead and trademarked the thing. He then proceeded to offer rap lyrics from the Birdman and Lil Wayne song "Stuntin' Like My Daddy" to SFoodie as his "official statement." See Eater National for the hardcore proof, trademark screenshot and all. [SFoodie, -EN-]

FAST FOOD - Burger King sold for $3.26 billion to 3G Capital today. The CEO said this will help them expand more rapidly overseas, especially in Latin America. El Whopper should be going off in a big way. [Huff Po]
