Primal Announces "Secret" Dinner on Friday; MORE

New, 1 comment

SECRET DINNER - The full lineup of chefs, butchers and farmers attending Primal in Napa was announced a little over a week ago. And now Eater has gained advance notice of a private-ish celebratory dinner happening at 7 p.m. this Friday night at Farmstead. Here's where it gets good: Primal has released only six seats for this dinner to the public and you, yes you, are the first to hear about it. The $150 price tag includes wines by Domaine Serene, Erna Schein and Long Meadow Ranch, gratuity and the chance to rub elbows with about 40 meaty Bay Area industry notables as you dig into a huge family-style meal of things like grass-fed beef with chimichurri, pork belly with apple agro-dolce and cracklin', beets with salsa verde and goat milk feta and over ten other dishes. Seats may be reserved starting right this second by calling Brady on the Primal mobile line at 404-849-3569. Let us know if you score one. [EaterWire]

TICKET GIVEAWAY - Here's another one for you. Vegansaurus! is giving away free tickets to Jonathan Safran Foer's talk at the Herbst Theater tomorrow night. Remember he just released that book Eating Animals on being a vegan so that's what this is all about. [V!]

FOOD FEST EXTRA - You may also want to look into SF Weekly's third annual DISH event, sure to be a delight with upwards of 30 vendors gathered together on the 4th floor of the Metreon. SFoodie is offering some discounts on ticket prices here. [SFoodie]
