COW HOLLOW - Union Street's Left at Albuquerque has been looking rather gaunt for quite some time now, but our tipsters inform us that partner Hugo Gamboa has narrowed down a concept: an "American eatery" with a focused cocktail program. The chef and name have not yet been nailed down, as it were. [EaterWire]
NOE VALLEY - The forthcoming Paxti's location at 4042 24th St. is still under construction, but getting closer. Management tells us the sign is going up this week and they will open in early November. [EaterWire]
THE MISSION - A sign is up at the Arizemendi coming to 1268 Valencia Street that says "see you next week." This is the popular bakery cooperative that already has outposts all over the Bay Area. We're currently waiting for more juice from the staffers. [Update: Mission Arizemendi co-opers tell Eater the projected Grand Opening is actually October 13th, despite what the sign says.] [EaterWire]
EXCELSIOR - We also have news of Henry's Hunan going over to the old Granada Cafe in late Nov./early Dec. Full bar coming too! [Tablehopper]
SOMA - Lady Hopper broke the seal on the Secret Wine Shop, which is actually all of the following: a tasting room, wine shop, art gallery, not a secret. This is at Howard and 7th in a lovely historic building and they are actually doing some pre-opening events now that you can read about. [Tablehopper]
DOGPATCH - We mentioned the new owner of the Sundance Coffee outpost out on 3rd Street signed a deal in early September. Continuing the story, Signore Lucchesi tells of the new Dogpatch Cafe slated for entry...and "soon" at that. [ISSF]
BERKELEY - Beckett's Irish Pub and Restaurant on Shattuck will be replaced by something called BEC Bistro around early November. The Pub will close around the 27th. Hop over to DailyCal to read about all the lifestyle benefits the Beckett's will reap when they get out of dodge.
NORTH BEACH - Royale on Grant Street will be going into Plywood mode shortly. Grub Street dug up the new liquor license for one Keith Wilson. There's no new name announcement as of yet. [Grub Street]
