MISSION - The Flying Pig Bistro, which opened recently, is now serving sandwiches, salads, pastries and coffee and is working on a beer and wine license. Hours are currently 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., but will extend until 11 p.m. when they start serving domestic and imported beers on tap in about two months. [EaterWire]
OUTER SUNSET - The bread gurus at Outerlands have applied for a general liquor license so they can launch the cocktail program they've been dreaming up. The booze menu will eventually highlight, simple, seasonally changing drinks with ingredients made in house and from scratch. We'll keep you posted as this release nears. [EaterWire]
OPENING REPORT - A new wine shop specializing in Italian grapes has opened at 1455 Van Ness Ave. It's called Enoteca Vino Nostro and it sounds as if they have some additional Italian goods for sale as well. [Tablehopper]
CHEF SHUFFLES - After almost 10 years working with Haig and Cindy Krikorian (Lalime’s, Fonda, T-Rex, Sea Salt, Jimmy Beans), Sea Salt executive chef Anthony Paone has left the group to take a break. The Krikorian's have promoted his former sous chef Scott Gehring to replace him. [ISSF]
