NOB HILL - The Toast Eatery coming to 1601 Polk Street is hoping to open before month's end. The menu will be very similar to the one at their two Noe Valley locations, but they will stop serving breakfast at 4 p.m. so they can bring on additional dinner items like peppercorn steaks, crab cakes, salads and sandwiches. According to owner Eddie Maser, the interior will be similar to the other Toast Eateries, but "a little more upscale." As you can see above, it's on its way. [EaterWire]
MARINA - Dominique Crenn's solo project Atelier Crenn should be open by January 21. GrubStreet has an early menu copy. [GrubStreet]
HAYES VALLEY - Carnie-themed restaurant Straw plans to open its doors on Octavia on Monday. Thrillist tells us the interior will sport a booth made out of a Tilt-a-Whirl car and funhouse mirrors and the menu has a burger served on a Krispy Kreme donut, which does sound different! SFoodie provides a few additional menu details. [Thrillist, SFoodie]
TENDERLOIN - According to an employee at sister business El Sotano, the Sutter Pub coming to 700 Sutter St. should be opening in about five months. [EaterWire]
MISSION - Alex Tchernikov says he's going to wait on fleshing out the Bang Sushi and Oyster Bar we broke earlier this week. He's testing the location out with his newly opened Flying Pig Bistro next door, then he'll see where he wants to go with Bang in a few months. That name really grabs the attention though, doesn't it. [EaterWire]
MISSION EXTRA - We don't have much in the way of Guatemalen fried chicken yet, so the arrival of Pollo Campero 2740 Mission should be well received if it happens. The full-service restaurant will seat 40 inside and 40 on an outside patio, pending Planning Commission approval next month. [ISSF]
CASTRO - The former Delano's space on 18th Street will be reincarnated as a Mollie Stone's. [GrubStreet]
UNION SQUARE - In early February, Grand Prix, a kiosk offering Blue Bottle coffee, Goody Goodie treats and Macau iced coffee will be opening in front of Azul in Tillman Place. If you're good, some morning pastries and sidewalk seating may even be on the way by summer. [SFoodie]
SOMA - An outpost of healthy pizza chain Z Pizza, which has outposts all over SoCal, is coming to Mission near 5th St. LiveSoma laments its not a by-the-slice joint. [LiveSoma]
