WESTERN ADDITION - Now's a good time to help a fellow SF citizen out, as Ragazza has initiated a fundraiser for an employee who was victimized by a violent and debilitating crime in November. On this coming Monday, 100% of dinner sales profits will go to the cause. There's also an auction of food- and wine-related items on eBay and cash donations are being accepted. More info here. EMBARCADERO - According to the Examiner, The America's Cup 2013 will cannibalize everyone's favorite Pier 27 dinner theater venue, Teatro ZinZanni. And although the Port of SF is promising to find comparable locations for this and other displaced businesses, nabbing another huge, vacant space in a well-trafficked touristy location is a tall order indeed. TENDERLOIN - In the awfully sad news department, a young man was shot several times and killed on the spot at Jebena Coffee and Tea Co last Thursday at 4:20 p.m. The 29-year-old killer was arrested and is being charged for homicide. [Chron]
CHEF SHUFFLES - Globe executive chef Jason Tallent is heading out to Austin, Texas. His last night and farmer dinner will take place on January 30th and -- attn: unemployed chefs -- his replacement has not yet been decided. [Tablehopper]
