Hapa SF regularly pops up at Bar Basic (510 Brannan) on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., but tonight they're going to experiment with a new format. Hapa chef William Pilz will cook something close to this menu as per usual, but all items will be served inside at the bar as diners benefit from warm seating, service and alcohol options. Bar Basic will offer its happy hour specials: $4 drafts, $5 martinis and two special Filipino-themed drinks for $6 a pop. If it goes well tonight, this could become a regular thing. [EaterWire]
