Tender Greens To East Bay, Foreign Cinema/Mondavi Dinner, More

New, 2 comments

THE MISSION - Foreign Cinema has just announced they'll have Tim Mondavi in the house on Feb. 17th to host a dinner in conjunction with the release of their 2008 Continuum Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The name Continuum comes from the Mondavi's 172-acre estate on the eastern side of the Napa Valley. The 4-course dinner starts at 6:30, costs $100 and can be reserved by calling the restaurant. MEATY THINGS - Incanto has started combining the spreadable salami known as nduja with chocolate ice cream. No big deal. [UrbanDaddy]

PLYWOOD - A new quick-service sustainable, local, organic concept built out in an eco-friendly setting is coming to 1360 Locust Street in Walnut Creek. No, we didn't cut and paste the first part of that sentence from some other restaurant announcement. It's going to be called Tender Greens ; everything will be priced at $11 and under; and the hippie liberals in the area will probably like it. [EaterWire]

BOOK SIGNINGS - Victoria Wise, Joyce Goldstein, Bruce Aidells, Alice Medrich and John L. Harris will be on a panel of experts speaking at Books Inc. in Berkeley on Sunday. All of them will be signing their respective books for audience members. [EBX]
