The Untermagnificent waves her wand at Spice Kit, SoMa Asian quick-service collaboration from vets of the Ritz and French Laundry. She starts with a bang: "beef short rib ssäm ($7.95), arguably one of the best pieces of food in town." And then on to the steamed pork bun: "Until Spice Kit, the best version came from David Chang’s Momofuku Ssäm Bar in New York. Spice Kit saves you a trip." And although she prefers Saigon Sandwich's bahn mi, "Spice Kit’s ssäm, buns and taro chips are about as good as any food can get." So, field trip to Howard Street? [Examiner]
