If you thought the Gunz & Bunz (3100 24th St.) sandwich shop was a little insensitive through the naming process, you weren't the only one. Apparently the owner Mike Jweinat was just naming it after a really popular fast-food restaurant from a suburb of Beirut. “I just thought it was like a sexy name,” he says. Now, instead of defending himself at a community meeting, he decided to make peace and change the name of the shop to the non-feather-ruffling (less sexy?) Mike's Deli. Not to worry Gunz and Bunz coupon holders! You can still use those through January 21 of next year. [Mission Loc@l]
