The Best Pizza in the World (is in San Francisco?)

New, 9 comments

Today USA Today's Larry Olmsted gives our very own Tony's Pizza Napoletana his OMG! rating (seriously), calling it "the most unique and comprehensive pizzeria in the nation, if not the world." There's no arguing owner Tony Gemignani is a ten-time World Champion Pizza Acrobat, and the first ever American winner of the World Pizza Championship in Naples. He also creates "the best and most authentic versions of nine...regional styles of pizza," from: California, New Haven, Sicily, Naples, New York, Detroit, Rome, St. Louis and "Classic Italian." Oh wait! The writer missed the gluten-free doughs (on purpose, maybe?), but there's a shout to Tony's pizza academy, and his honey, straight from his own rooftop beehives. It all does sound quite impressive lined up like that. If Tony had an online dating profile, it would totally blow up Match.com.
