Pho Ao Sen is Moving Out of its Hole-in-the-Wall Space

Pho Ao Sen's creepy Flash-driven website may make you feel like you're in The Twilight Zone, but fans of this joint's pho insist it's the best in the Bay Area. Those fans should prepare to venture even deeper into East Oakland for their "soupy-carby-joy" fix. Later this month, the restaurant plans to move from its International Ave. corner diner location to a two-story dim sum hall (formerly King of King, pictured) on E. 12th St.. The existing decor could be described as cramped, dingy and overgrown with bamboo. Everyone is hoping the new digs close the gap between the ambiance and food.
