Barman Extraordinaire Scott Beattie Will Probably Make Your Next Drink

Scott Beattie is seriously blowing up right now. In addition to running the bars at Healdsburg hotspot Spoonbar and brand new Mateo's Cocina Latina across the way, he's now putting the finishing touches on Plum's new bar program, which should launch in Oakland in the next few weeks. And he's been enlisted to work on the program at D-Patt's forthcoming gamechanger Haven. On top of all this, today Inside Scoop reports that Scott Youkilis has brought Beattie on as a cocktail consultant at Hog & Rocks, where his drinks are expected to go live later this month. But that's not the half of it! Eater has also learned that Beattie will consult on the cocktails at Youkilis' forthcoming BBQ restaurant. So, very soon, you'll be able to drink classic and seasonal drinks designed by Sir Beattie in San Francisco, Sonoma and Oakland. In other words, if you haven't had one of this man's cocktails yet, it's going to happen.

In other Youkilis-related new hire news, the replacement for Maverick chef de cuisine Matt Brimer has been announced. Former Sons & Daughters sous chef Emmanuel Eng is coming on board, and everyone should know that he's going to carry on the great tradition of butter burgers started by Brimer.
