Zaré at Fly Trap Stops Serving Lunch, Spark's Big Dessert Party Approaches, and More

THE LUNCH BUNCH - Zaré’s Grill and Grain, the pop-up lunch operation at Zaré at Fly Trap, will serve its last lunch on Friday. Chef-owner Hoss Zaré says that it was too difficult to serve a totally different menu during the day, and the concept didn't catch on as quickly as he hoped. Dinner service, however, is still full speed ahead. [ISSF]

SOMA -Michelle Polzine of Range, Jake Godby of Humphrey Slocombe and many other pastry chefs from Chez Panisse, Delfina, Boulevard and that ilk are participating in Spark's Sugar Rush dessert tasting party on Nov. 10 at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. COMING ATTRACTIONS - Local literature festival Litquake begins later this week, and there are several food- and wine-related events that may pique your interset.
