BAYVIEW - The project managers for the Bayview redevelopment build-out in the Third Street Corridor are estimating Limon Rotisserie will be the first to open at 5800 Third St., possibly by the end of October. Radio Africa Kitchen (4800 Third St.) is planning some soft-opening activity for November, with a grand opening slated for mid-December; and Brown Sugar Kitchen's opening has been pushed to the end of the year at 5800 Third as well. THE MISSION - Bar Bambino's cafe at the Oberlin Dance Collective (ODC) has hit its fair share of delays, but owner Christopher Losa says he's taking the future movie theater kiosk over to the fabricator this Friday, and he hopes it will be up and running—serving morning pastries, desserts and housemade concession-style goodies for show-goers—before the end of October. Consider that the soft-opening of sorts for the full blown Pronto by Bar Bambino cafe, which should be open and running by the middle of December. [EaterWire]
THE MARINA - The liquor license is in progress for the Super Duper location on Chestnut St. The owners are expecting to open next Friday Oct. 14. They'll be open until 2 a.m. on the weekends, so you can cave to any and all late-night burger cravings that strike nearby. [EaterWire]
SOMA - Former La Folie chef Matt Liberman's interesting-sounding AQ Bar & Restaurant project should be opening at the end of October or in early November. [EaterWire]
TENDERLOIN - A nicely exteriored new Japanese curry restaurant called Kare-Ken is getting very close to opening at 552 Jones St. Food writer and P.F. Chang's consultant Hiroko Shimbo is helping them with the menu. [Tender, Hiroko's Kitchen]
POLK GULCH - The former Polk Street Station Diner will become Fourth Wave Coffee (1356 Polk St.), a coffee place that sounds like it will please the snobbiest of coffee snobs, but they'll have fast service too. The owner has procured a Marzocco Linea espresso machine and is sourcing from a roaster in Oakland. If all goes well, they'll open the week of October 17th. [Tablehopper]
SOMA EXTRA - A new Mexican small plates restaurant called Azucar Lounge is hoping to open at Ninth and Folsom before October is over. At this point, we know they served a Sonoran Dog at the Folsom Street Fair and that all of the menu items will be under $10. [ISSF]
BERNAL HEIGHTS - Precita Park Cafe should be open in about 2 to 3 weeks. It will probably remind you of Dolores Park Cafe and the Duboce Park Cafe, the other two spots run by the same owner. [Bernalwood]
SANTA ROSA - Chef Doug Rich of the shuttered Santi will be sticking around to open a low country Southern restaurant and bar called Sweet T’s in the same space. Inside Scoop can give you a pretty solid idea of what will be on the menu. [ISSF]
