Coffee Bar FiDi Set To Open with Il Cane Rosso and Radio Africa & Kitchen on Board

New, 4 comments

Here's a look at the second San Francisco outpost of Coffee Bar, just putting the finishing touches on as they ready for opening on Monday. Designed by Jones | Haydu—the same architects that did the Mission/Potrero space—the FiDi version is way smaller than the original, and there are no seats inside. But there are lots of bells and whistles you should be aware of, nonetheless.

Besides the details we brought you earlier (remember slow drip and regular (fast?) drip coffee will be available) , they'll be serving grab-and-go sandwiches and salads from Il Cane Rosso, authentic chai made by Radio Africa & Kitchen's Eskender Aseged, mochas and hot chocolates using Recchiuti, kouign amman from Starter Bakery and other pastries from the esteemed Sandbox Bakery in Bernal Heights. Overall it's sounding like a local, slightly more high-end option compared to the pile of other coffee joints in the vicinity. Oh, and one more thing. Owner Luigi Di Ruocco says Coffee Bar FiDi is the first coffee house in SF to sport several of Kalita's new Wave drop coffee filters. Here they are in action, set to some pure 80's gold from British pop sensation Yazoo, just in time for Friday morning. You can thank us later for that.
