THE MISSION - The Mission's La Oaxaqueña hasn't exactly had an easy year. First their grasshopper tacos were banned by the the DPH and then they had to shutter in August to regroup. Today happy news comes that the taqueria reopened last week and they're serving basically the same menu, pupusas, specialty hot chocolate, handmade tortillas—just no bugs. [EaterWire]

VIDEO INTERLUDE - Martha Stewart is all about SF chefs these days, right? On the heels of last week's performance by Danny Bowien, Thomas Keller was on today making gluten free fried chicken and waffles. Take a look at the video over at Inside Scoop. [ISSF]

POP-UPS - Elizabeth Falkner will be making use of the Orson space tomorrow night for a reception and screening of the premiere of The Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs that aired on Sunday. $40 tickets include the screening, cocktails, appetizers inspired by the show, and the rare chance to meet the famed E-Falk. Buy advance tickets here. There will be more of these, but she's not announcing when yet. [EaterWire]

THE SHUTTER- “Sorry, we are closed” sign, number disconnected—all signs point to closure at Yet Wah out on Clement. Guess you'll have to hit up one of the other gazillion Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood for your fix. If you know anything else about this closure, do drop a line . [The Rich District]

CHINATOWN - In step with Chinese Food Week, our sister site Curbed SF has taken some time out to profile the 10 most expensive properties on the market in Chinatown. It tops out with a $2,450K Columbus Ave. ?charmer just a hop skip and a jump from egg custard central. [CSF]
