Mandarin%20Oriental%20Logo.jpgAmidst revamps and transformations at The Ritz-Carlton, The W Hotel, The Crescent Hotel, and Kimpton Hotel Group, this week's Inside Scoop column notes another hotel about to undergo big-time changes: the Mandarin Oriental and its restaurant, Silks. Everything will remain open as major renovations take place, and the 2.0 version of the hotel with its brand new restaurant (in a new space) will be unveiled in spring of next year. At that point, Silks will close—just in time for the hotel's 25th anniversary. [Chron]
