Now we know why the health department was so busy yesterday. Uptown Almanac says that Rite Spot Cafe (2099 Folsom St.), was shut down due to health infringements, and it wasn't just illegal ice cream machines this time. More like: "serious or repeated violations pertaining to vermin infestation." Remember other similar cases at Hukilau and Boogaloos, where the management was able to get back up and running in no time. So not sure what the "Rite" shutter length shall be(—layup!)
